Patpong Bangkok

Patpong night market or hotbed of vice?

The question could be answered very fast: more night market than hotbed of vice!

As i visited Bangkok the first time (15 years ago) the Patpong 1 was really another road!. Only Bars and other “Establishments” could be founded at this time. But I have been surprised even at that time that there are people (correct-proves men), which flew only to Thailand because of the Patpong: Frankfurt station quarters has in this reference more to offer (also the number of Thais might be approximately alike).

To hardly believe, but this really world-wide well-known road is hardly 500 meters long!

In the meantime everything changed here: the Patpong became a large night market, in which you could find everything. Clocks, clothes, leather goods, etc. etc.. Everything in good quality (above all if you see it in reference to the price). But you must be able to bargain well. The prices specified first (or typed into a pocket calculator) are usually 500% to high!

Somewhat nerve-end are the boys of the Bars, which pronounce the Shows: Ping-Pong Show,
smoking with Pussy, etc. etc.. If you ever saw such Show, you have seen all.

The night marked starts about 20.00 o’clock and ends about 01.00 o’clock.

Naturally there are still many Bars in the Patpong, but all “harmlessly”. Most have outside seats like a little Beer garden, from which you could watch the people. Not real cheap, but a bar with good Livemusik and good seats: “Radio Station”: Elvis is still alive ;-)

Is the Patpong also a place for families with children???
Of course! As I said before: the Patpong today is a night market!!! with some Bars and no more only a target for “kinky men”.

By the way, as applies everywhere in Bangkok: also women could take a look into the Bars! They are here more desired, than the most men; -) What is that probably situated in?
