Bangkok Hotels

Who wants to place itself in its life an unsolvable function: count the hotels only in the Sukhumvit Road and the Sois (side streets) of the Sukhumvit. Only in this hotel or tourist quarter (in their proximity also the ” nightclub districts ” Soi Nana and the Soi cowboy could be found) are innumerable hotels.

The level of the hotels is very high opposite comparable European hotels. Also cheap Hotels have mostly a television, an air condition, room bar and a large room with large bath announced. No comparison to hotels in the tourist areas of Europe!!! Apart from the Nobel hotels, where you can expect such things for a higher payment.

Most hotels have a Coffee Shop (a small restaurant), which over warm meals and beverages 24h . What concerns meals and beverages, the room service is likewise normal; however to a small surcharge.

I was so far in 6 hotels accommodated. I can only recommend 5:

Park hotel (however already 10 years ago)

Prince hotel (already an eternity ago)

First hotel

Asia hotel

Nana Hotel (no comment about this!)

Monarch Lee Gardens (http://www.leegarden.com)

All hotel for middle budget, but I always posted a package tour from Germany.

Which Hotel is the best: I prefer the Monarch Lee Garden. Not the cheapest, but real one of the best!

Important:

Rent a hotel safe for the valuable articles, the tickets and passes take (usually free of charge).

Exchange of money in the hotel is possible, however one gets better courses in exchange offices and banks.

Require a visiting card of the hotel (Business Card) and keep it in your valet. On those (usually) the address of the hotel is also in Thai writing, so it is also possible for a taxi driver, who does not understand the English language, to bring you back.

Don’t use Taxi and Tuk Tuk driver, which are waiting in front of the Hotel. Walk 30m away from the Hotel and catch there a Taxi that costs only the half price (ONLY use Taximeter-Taxi)

The laundries of the hotels are inexpensive, well and relatively fast. Laundry bags and detailed statements, in which everything is explained, normally could be found in the wardrobe.
